Carroll Inlet

Chilly run 17 miles up Carroll Inlet at slack tide, then puttering around staring at mountains in the upper channel that I hope to ski later this winter.  Then a ride back out the inlet with the benefit of a 1-2knot ebb tide.  No whales today........just cold feet.  Nothing like winter boating in Alaska.

Looking north up Carroll Inlet.  End of inlet is about 12 more miles north.

Twin Peaks.  The rest of the mountains here are un-named.

North of Silvis Lake.

Glad we got a boat with an enclosure.

Twin Peaks and Mahoney Mtn.

Glassy water and Twin Peaks.

Eagles feasting on deer entrails at the dock.
