Not much in the way of naturally occurring deciduous trees here . What ones do exist are down in the washes where a bit of water might flow and some shade might be found. It's kinda like Washington in that regard, except the polar opposite. There, it was all coniferous pines, here it's all cactus. And it turns out that winter solstice is when the leaves decide to change colors here.
