Winter solstice in Alaska might be a little more significant than the lower 48, as our days right now are pretty short, and we aren't even that far north compared to everywhere else in Alaska. Starting tomorrow, the days are getting marginally longer and longer, but in February, they change quite a bit from day to day. Looking forward to longer days so we have more time do accomplish longer boat rides, longer ski days, etc.
"Nice" day up Carroll Inlet, then some night beach time.

Winter Solstice can suck it, we have headlamps. |
