July 2022

Noticed a lump in my armpit in June, long story short, turns out it's Hodgkins Lymphoma.  Started 6 months chemo at the end of July.  July was a tough month for us, but we kept hiking.  This blog has turned into something more for me, something important,  a memory bank of our family.  Something I cherish more than anything.

June 2022

 Met family in the Black Hills of South Dakota, did some fun climbing, a little hiking, and made a trip back through the Big Horns.

May 2022

 After a ten year hiatus from climbing,  decided to start climbing again with family.  Alex climbed a bit indoors in Alaska, but hasn't for two years.  It has been a great joy climbing with family again.

April 2022

 Lift skiing ended after Whitefish with a drought.  Had a few ok days in the Big Belts ski touring.

March 2022

 A four day trip to Whitefish skiing with Alex.  Another all time greatest time skiing with my son.  Watching his eyes light up at the prospects of riding high speed quads on a big mountain was amazing.  Also brought the ATV for a little cruise after skiing.  Got some new snow on day 2, Alex was giggling skiing powder and obsessed.  One of my favorite moments as a parent.
