Juneau Wild Kingdom

More boating, more unsuccessful crabbing in Fritz Cove (i'm done with the close to town crabbing, waste of time), more birds, a cool owl, and of course, sea life. Too windy to go out further for crab with the typical SE Alaska sunny day and north wind blowing down Lynn Canal.  That said, the new boat handles rougher seas MUCH better than the dory.  Still playing it very cautious though.

Found Crab

Finally found some dungy crabs.  Missed the turn to the boat launch and ended up dragging the Zodiac down some mush snow covered nightmare road.  Ughh......anyway, it all worked out, but not after a lot of sweat.

10 Days Of Sunshine

Juneau just had 9-10 days of cool temps and sunshine.  Now we are slipping back into the storm cycle.  I had 9-10 days off too.  Love it when it works out like that.

We've been seeing the same humpback every day at the boat launch at Auke Bay, then saw some transient orca yesterday as well.  Amazing days lately.

Haven't found the dungeness crab yet..........got skunked two days in a row.
